Nikki Tams

I have worked with Phoenix Play for just over 11 years, originally supporting on a freelance basis as a bid writer, and then moving in house to work in various departments. I now have the honour of being part of the Marketing team - bringing together my previous 15+ years of experience in the Marketing industry with my love for the incredible work that Phoenix Play does. 

Having spent many years making rich companies richer with my marketing efforts, it’s now amazing to make a difference to the lives of young learners across the country by promoting our brand and supporting schools to be able to start their journey with us: by managing our website, brochure production, social channels, content, and copywriting.

I also still run the Inspections & Maintenance department for the company - organising those essential safety inspections of equipment for our customers.

From a personal perspective, the impact we make as an organisation is especially important as I am a Mum to three children. Although they are now teenagers, I have seen first-hand how important play is to a child’s development and I see the value in every single product that we make and project we work on. The level of knowledge across the team astounds me every day, and I love working in a company which understands so much about the educational benefits of play! 

Outside of work, I love seeing live music, sport and travelling. I’ve been lucky enough to have lived and worked in Paris, London and Auckland, as well as visiting many incredible places.
