Sam Blewitt

As Head of Operations at Phoenix Play, I have been part of the team for nearly ten years and truly understand the business inside out. Starting my journey as an Operations Administrator, I’ve grown alongside the company and now manage the “engine room” of Phoenix Play, keeping everything running smoothly, efficiently, and with a clear eye on delivering amazing play spaces.

A big kid at heart, I am passionate about delivering inspiring play spaces that spark imagination and support the next generation. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is seeing projects come full circle, experiencing the transformation from an empty/outdated space to a vibrant playground, and then watching children run in with excitement, exploring, climbing, and playing in the spaces we’ve created. Seeing that joy and energy first hand makes all the hard work worthwhile and is a constant reminder of why what we do truly matters.

I thrive on working with like-minded people who share the same commitment to delivering exceptional playgrounds and positive experiences for schools and communities. That’s exactly what Phoenix Play is all about!

Outside of work, I enjoy keeping fit and active and spend most weekends busy with a young family and a black lab, proof that play doesn’t stop when the working day ends.
